City Bus Accident Leaves Man’s Legs Badly Mangled In Bronx Accident
A Bronx man had his legs badly injured after he walked into the path of a city bus on a Bronx street on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. The man, who is believed to be in his 40s, walked into a BX17 bus outside the crosswalk on E. 149th St. at Prospect Ave. in Woodstock. The bus was making a right turn as the man was walking into it.
According to police, the man looked like he walked into the side of the bus. The impact of the accident damaged one of the panels on the front passenger door which led the man to go underneath the bus, according to witnesses.
The man was taken to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition. His leg was badly tangled in the wreck and he was face up, bleeding, and unconscious.
Three Truck Crash Causes Delays On Cross Bronx Expressway Delays
On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, a crash on the Cross Bronx Expressway created serious delays for drivers who wanted to use the George Washington Bridge during the morning rush.
The delay was caused by three trucks that crashed on the Cross Bronx at Jerome Avenue. Details were not released as to what caused the trucks to crash.
Five-Year-Old Injured In Shooting Accident
A five-year-old is fighting for his life after he was involved in a shooting accident. The little boy was injured by a stray bullet to the head in the Bronx.
A suspect has been charged as of late Tuesday, June 6, 2017. The 27-year-old shooter was charged with attempted murder for the shooting that took place on Monday, June 5 in the Morrisania section of the borough. The shooter is the neighbor of the boy’s father.
The accident took place on the day the boy as celebrating his fifth birthday, as he was walking out of the apartment building on Washington Avenue. According to police, two men met up with the alleged shooter to buy marijuana outside a deli. An argument ensued and several shots were fired leading to the stray bullet that seriously injured the little boy.

Pedestrian Killed On Route 110 In North Amityville, NY
A North Amityville man was fatally struck by a car in the hamlet while he was crossing the street. The 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage after the accident happened on Saturday night June 3, 2017.
A 69-year-old woman from Wyandanch was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo headed north on Route 110 near Ritter Avenue in the evening. Fortunately, the driver stayed on the scene of the accident after she hit the pedestrian. She was not injured in this accident. The crash remains under investigation and the Chevrolet was impounded in order to undergo a safety check.
Failure To Yield Causes Crash In New Hartford, NY
On June 2, 2017, a car accident resulted in two people being injured after one driver failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle. An 89-year-old driver from Sauquoit did not yield to the other vehicle while pulling onto Seneca Turnpike from Alvin Place.
The failure to yield resulted in the two vehicles colliding. Fortunately, this collision caused minor injuries for both drivers. One driver was treated at the scene of the accident by members of the New Hartford Fire Department and Edwards ambulance. She did not need to taken to hospital after that initial treatment.
The 89-year-old driver was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way while entering a roadway.
